Downtown Music Venue Closing It’s Doors!

Yesterday, it was announced that local music venue, J-Alan’s, on Ludlow St. in downtown Dayton, is closing it’s doors on Friday, May 31st, 2013.     The reason for the venue’s closing has not been verified, and some folks may have known this was coming. However, to most of the community, it comes as a huge shock!  J-Alan’s has been known for a long time as one of the coolest music venues around with awesome service, great atmosphere, great live music, and the ability to get right up close and personal with the acts that played there!  I have personally played some amazing shows there over the last several years, and I even enjoyed a couple of Mr. Freshy’s gyros and a couple of drinks there just a week or so ago with several local acoustic acts!   I will miss J-Alan’s, and I’m sure many of you will also!  If you’d like to give them a few words of encouragement as they move on to new projects, you can contact them on Facebook HERE.
