hi_res_promoFour piece, Melbourne based band, The Hiding, is out with a brand new single called “Run City Run”, which was mixed in the U.S. by Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers).  Fresh off their “Wanting More” EP release in late May, the band has just finished a sweet lyric video for the new single and is finishing up plans for shows in the U.S. later this year.

“Run City Run” is a key track off the new EP.  With lyrics about loneliness, regret, vulnerability, and strength, it tugs at the heartstrings, but the danceable, bouncy, electro pop rhythms give this single a positive, forward-looking spin that let you know nothing will get this group down for very long.  The Hiding capitalized on the song further with a well-produced lyric video that is both abstract and full of imagery.  There’s not so much going on in the frames that you can’t focus on the lyrics.  At the same time, it conveys a vague story in the imagery that keeps you watching until the end.

Check it out below, and if you dig it, check out more music from The Hiding and start making plans to see them here in the U.S. this fall.  With a great new single, a brand new EP, and a tremendous U.S. college radio station campaign that started this month, it’s looking like The Hiding will be received with tremendous success! There’s no reason you couldn’t be a part of that!
