Album Cover Letters From High LatitudesA uniquely flavored and tasty concoction of various musical styles, “Letters From High Latitudes”, by Canadian born artist, Ed Roman, must be sipped again and again to achieve complete understanding of its different elements and sensations.

ed_roman_imea_awardsDelving deep into a wide array of subjects, Roman’s lyrical sensibilities are, in many ways, similar to those of the bard’s of old. He asks you to listen carefully to his message, but his methods invite the listener with disarming satire over a swiftly moving background of charming and light-hearted melodies. Roman carefully layers in his lyrics on a rich musical palette of blues, rock, funk, jam, folk, pop and jazz, but he also gives us three instrumental tracks on the album, “Melacthon June Bug”, “Roly’s Cottage”, and “Tinker”, which showcase his flair for creative and diverse musical expression and his sense of fun and theatrics.   “Letters From High Latitudes” is a quirky, fast-paced album that will surely surprise and delight listeners who have a penchant for fun, living, and learning!
