DMCLogo_340x253jpgMusic Connection is coming up on our 2 year anniversary, and we have a lot of great news to announce in the next few days. Today, we’ve got one of our most important announcements since our inception: the addition of a new Partner and Business Development Manager!

Some of our readers might still be under the impression that Music Connection Dayton is a medium sized organization run by a team of several people who are designing our site, managing the Facebook page, writing posts, etc., but with the exception of about twenty articles or so contributed by some wonderful folks in the community, up until now, I’ve pretty much created, developed, and managed Music Connection Dayton as a solo effort.  I’m a musician in two local bands and keep pretty busy each week with practices, writing, and gigs, but Music Connection Dayton is my day-to-day business that I work to develop a little bit each and every day.   The challenge of putting it all together keeps me coming back for more, and the heart and soul I’ve put in have been given back to me many times over in feedback and support!  That support is exactly what motivates me to keep this moving forward, but I’ve been in need of additional help for some time, which is why I am SO proud to make today’s announcement!

jim_cummingsJoining forces with Music Connection as Partner and Business Development Manager is local photographer, writer, and music supporter, Jimmy Cummings!

I met Jimmy several years ago through one of my bands and figured out pretty quickly that this was a guy I could count on for a great laugh, true support, and friendship!  At that time, he was part of the awesome crew of folks who ran Buckeye Music Magazine, and their dedication and support for local music was a tremendous inspiration to me.   When the BMM team recently parted ways, I knew Jimmy was the guy that I needed to help me build better and stronger relationships with the Dayton community, and thankfully, he agreed to the challenge!

For Music Connection Dayton to continue to grow and create new and better services for you, Jimmy will be reaching out to local acts, businesses and organizations with some of our cool, new promotional opportunities, so expect to see Jimmy out at area shows and businesses, working his magic!

Our goal is to provide affordable, scale-able promotions for any one who wants to connect with local music!
