Love of Life and Music Feeds Ohio Donate to The FoodbankLove of Life Inc. in association with Music Feeds Ohio contributes $1000 to the Dayton Foodbank. The generous gift is indicative of the hard work and dedication by the many volunteers that make up Love of Life, Inc. Love of Life’s annual celebration, the Wham Bam Thank U Jam, is one of Southwest Ohio’s most anticipated summer events. This past summer, Wham Bam celebrated its 5th year and most successful year to date.

The growth and success of Love of Life can be attributed to its all-volunteer staff and their commitment to providing music fans, artists, and musicians an environment in which to celebrate and interact together. As the Wham Bam Thank U Jam continues to grow, so does Love of Life’s commitment to the local community.

Music Feeds OhioIn 2014, Love of Life, Inc. teamed up with Music Feeds Ohio for a food drive to benefit the local food bank. Music Feeds Ohio is a growing community of local musicians, event promoters, venue owners, and music fans working to bring awareness to the issue of food insecurities in the state of Ohio. Hunger is a real problem nationwide and here in the Buckeye state 1 in every 6 people struggle with hunger on a daily basis. Ohio’s music community is well aware of the challenges that face our neighborhoods including the issue of hunger. Area musicians are always among the first to step up, take a stand, and support a good cause. This cooperative spirit can be seen throughout the Ohio music scene and encompasses what Music Feeds Ohio and Love of Life, Inc. are all about.

The Foodbank in Dayton is a leader in the fight against hunger in the Miami Valley. Serving Montgomery, Greene, and Preble Counties, The Foodbank in Dayton contributes and distributes food to a network of hunger relief pantries throughout the Miami Valley and has been doing so for nearly 4 decades. Love of Life representatives Johnny Klink, Tracy Lakes, and Tim Wells along with Music Feeds Ohio spokesman Jimmy Cummings presented the $1000 donation to The Foodbank’s Community Relations Manager Lora Davenport. The donation will be used to help replenish the Foodbank shelves after the harsh winter months. The Foodbank depends on the support of the community and organizations such as Love of Life, Inc. and Music Feeds Ohio in order to continue their task of feeding the hungry in the Miami Valley.

Love of Life’s Annual Wham Bam Thank U Jam takes place every third weekend in August. This year’s celebration is scheduled for August 14-16. For more information about Love of Life, Inc. and the Wham Bam Thank U Jam visit their website.
