Love of Life, Inc. and the Wham Bam Thank U Jam donate $400.00 to Gateway Men’s Shelter in Dayton, Ohio in honor of Red Charles Sumlin and Feeding Dayton.
Love of Life, Inc. is committed to the axiom “Live, Love, Learn – Pass it on.” This philosophy is the essence of the organization’s annual Wham Bam Thank U Jam, and 2015 marks their 6th successful year thanks to the many volunteers, some of whom travel as far as Mississippi to donate their time to make the three day celebration possible. Proceeds from the event allow Love of Life, Inc. to give back to the community and local organizations like Feeding Dayton.
For 20 years, Feeding Dayton and the Prayer Garden Church of God has served Dayton’s Gateway Men’s Shelter by providing meals for the residents there. In 2012, donations were down and there was much concern about the longtime ministry. Then Red Charles Sumlin stepped in and accepted the responsibility to lead the shelter ministry.
Since that time, Red and his crew of volunteers have been able to continue their work thanks to community food donations and monetary
contributions from organizations like Love of Life, Inc.

Love of Life’s Annual Wham Bam Thank U Jam takes place every third weekend in August. This year’s celebration is scheduled for August 14-16. For more information about Love of Life, Inc. and the Wham Bam Thank U Jam visit their website.
