img_0032A brand new release from Shine On Records, “My Still Small Voice” by West Virginia native, Tony Watson, is one man’s pleas about the epic problem of homeless and displaced persons everywhere, but it has the potential to carry a great message to many music fans around the world!

img_0063With its stately tempo, sustained notes on the keys, and flowing guitars and vocal melodies, “My Still Small Voice” has a laid-back vibe that respects the sadness of the lyrical content and still creates an uplifting sense of hope that just barely keeps this from being a real tearjerker. Preview

There are some fantastic harmonies laced throughout, both vocally and instrumentally.   The reflective energy is maintained through the piece, but there is a solid range of dynamics, from the gentle acoustic intro to the full chorus with multiple layers of melodies, harmonies, and rhythms.   Bringing all of these aspects together with a beautiful message is a great recipe for spreading the word about an important issue of humanity.

Tony_WatsonWatson is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter with a number of accolades to his name and years on national and international circuits performing with both symphonies and country/rock bands.  Among his most notable accomplishments, Watson is a three-time Artist Music Guild Heritage Award-nominated artist where he won for Music Video of the Year and is a member of the Country Music Association, Inspirational Christian Country Music Association and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.  Watson also plays multiple instruments, from string to percussion, but his musical influences from James Taylor, Cat Stevens, John Denver and Neil Young are easily heard in his music.
