Love of Life Inc. is proud to bring you the 7th Annual Wham Bam Thank You Jam. The annual celebration kicks off this weekend August 19 – 21 at the beautiful Hannon’s Camp America Campgrounds in College Corner, OH.
The Wham Bam Thank U Jam now in its 7th year remains as one of the summer’s most anticipated celebrations in southwest Ohio.
The line-up for this year’s Wham Bam Thank U Jam is an eclectic blend musical goodness. Music begins at noon on Friday with the melodic sounds of Harlot followed by the Wham Bam debut of Eric Henry’s Electric Dream and Keith Cost’s Probiotic Nightmare followed by Kumasi, Gild the Lily, To No End, The Mainline Funk, Electric Orange Peel, and Grover with Dayton’s own Subterranean closing out the night. On Saturday Smilin Joe kicks things off followed by Paradijm Shift, Keshvar Project, Sharon Lane, Mayan Ruins, Far From Eden, Shiny Old Soul, Lemon Sky, Jojo Stella, The Almighty Get Down, The High Definitions, and Colors. And don’t forget the all night drum circle. Bring your rig and join in the fun!
The all-volunteer staff at Love of Life, Inc. dedicates itself to “promoting diversity through music, art and life experiences.” Their mission is to “provide a festival-like atmosphere where musicians, performers, artists, and music lovers can come together annually to celebrate life.”
The overwhelming support of local sponsors, musicians, and patrons of the Wham Bam Thank U Jam has allowed the organization to continue its efforts to provide much needed assistance to area charities.
Through proceeds from last year’s celebration Love of Life Inc. was able to contribute to five local charities: Feeding Dayton ($1000), SISCA Pet Adoption Center ($500), The Dayton Foodbank ($1500), The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center ($2000), and Helping the Homeless Dayton ($500). These organizations epitomize a dedication and commitment to community necessary in making the Miami Valley a better place for all of us.
