fall2016tourIf you’re ready for a powerful and emotional album about heartache and love, ‘Taken The Wrong Side,’ by Dayton native and singer-songwriter, Wheatley Matthews, is the album you can’t afford to miss!

3210714No matter your state of mind right now with regards to love, everyone has experienced heartache so bad it hurts, and ‘Taken The Wrong Side’ is the kind of album you could fall deep into and never get over.

This is the third studio album from Wheatley Matthews, and as the title of the album suggests, the lyrics and music take a trip to the darker side of love – the heartache; the lessons learned; the daily grind that can make folks lose their way from each other.

3210721From beginning to end, ‘Taken The Wrong Side’, is a stripped down acoustic album, and you won’t find any fancy post-production, auto-tune, or a host of instruments.  What you will find is a voice that sometimes whispers, and other times, it roars.  You’ll discover passionate music that dips between folk, country, and a dark, restless blues, and if you get as sucked in as I did to songs like “Forgot To Love” and “The One Thing I Won’t Do”, you’ll be a Wheatley Matthews fan for life!
