2 Great Metal Shows !!!!

Close The Hatch – Really enjoying hearing these guys play! They are an experimental metal band blending a lot of different styles into their sound. They have a lot of progressive metal as well: forging new ways of playing, having new ideas on what Metal should be, and taking it to the next level.  At first it sounds soft, and then the voice comes at you like a battering ram, letting you know it’s DEFinitely NOT soft. It reminds me also of other melodic metal,  creating a picture or a work of art within the music. Their music sounds surreal when they slow down the tempo and it features the great bass lines. Guitar solos that light up the atmosphere, and the drums are dynamic.
Band Members: 2 Shauns, 1 Steve, a Rohr , and a Josh kill it when they hit the stage.

 

From Silence to Violence – Brutal Metal/Metalcore | Troy, OH

The local metal scene has been raging in Dayton and surrounding neighborhoods, and we’re proud this month to hit you up with some more news on local metal band, From Silence To Violence!   They screamed to the top of our October Featured Band/Artist contest and snagged 2nd place for the 2nd month in a row! Talk about some fan dedication!

REVIEW: From Silence To Violence – Progressive metal/metalcore/Hardcore – Dayton

This month, we are proud to share with you a killer up and coming metal band out of Troy called, From Silence To Violence!  These cats stormed our September Featured Band/Artist contest with enthusiasm and snagged a 2nd place finish!

I had a chance to check this band out live earlier this year at Kuzzinz up in Troy, and let me tell you… they feasted on the energy of the crowd at that show, were crunchy and tight as hell, and they’re on the war path to blow up the Dayton area and beyond in true metal fashion!  

NEW! Rock/Metal Review: 9/1/13- Heck Yeah’s with From Silence to Violence, From My Grave, & Devium

This week I went and saw three killer bands at Heck Yeah’s in Piqua! This is a really nice sports and dining bar.  During the summer months, they have great shows on their outside stage which has excellent sound and a patio for hanging outside or catching a smoke, and during the winter months, they accommodate smaller acts on their inside stage.  The lighting was pretty good and there was sufficient power for all the bands. The venue was also pretty easy to find since it was right on Rt. 25 along the river just south of Piqua,

Rock The Farm “Is It Spring Yet? Party!”

Lots of local bands playing this show! Check it out! We can’t make it, but I’m sure it’s gonna be awesome!
