Songwriters Solstice 2014 – SoNA’s 2nd Annual Foodbank Dayton Benefit

This Friday and Saturday, 30 Dayton area music acts will perform all-original sets at Ghostlight Coffee, from 6-10pm. The event benefitsFoodbank Dayton, so please bring 3 nonperishable food items (or $5). This is SoNA’s 2nd annual Songwriters Solstice–last year’s event raised 466 lbs of food for the foodbank, in addition to cash donations!

If that person is a music lover you may just be in luck; here in the Buckeye state there are plenty of great holiday concerts that are sure to satisfy even the toughest person on your gift list and give you a break from all the pressures of the holidays.

Dirty/Clean: Debut Album “Welt Am Draht” Stands Alone High Above

Preparations are underway for Dirty/Clean’s show at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Joshua Egeland, who makes up one half of the duo (drummer Jay Madewell is the other half) will be performing at the Boonshoft in little over 24 hours from when I meet with him at Ghostlight Coffee. The special event will be in the museum’s Science on a Sphere room, and will incorporate a choreographed light show featuring digital projection synced to the live music.
