Hardships and misfortunes strike us all at some point in our lives, and for most of us picking up the pieces can be a difficult and strenuous process. Tia Kennedy and her family know this all too well after escaping a devastating fire that roared through their home on Monday, February 16. Tia and her family survived the disaster but the house and contents were all destroyed. The family is left with the task of starting from scratch, an undertaking that would be difficult for anyone, but especially for a mother of two small sons. Fortunately for the Kennedy family, they live in a community that is more than willing to lend a hand. (more…)

FULL OF HELL SET TO MUTILATE ROCKSTAR PRO ARENA

Sometimes, life can be downright mean.

Full of Hell founding member and guitarist Spencer Hazard is one musician who uses that darkness to create something else: music. In a recent interview, Hazard summed up the inspiration for the music, sound and lyrics of the young East Coast band.

“Mostly human experience,” Hazard said. “Whether it be other people’s or one’s own pain experienced in life.”

When your parents are royalty in the outlaw country genre, certain expectations follow you.

Shooter Jennings does not eschew his father Waylon’s legacy. He loves his dad’s music and is even currently touring with his father’s old band. However, it should be understood that Shooter has no desire to fit into any mold.

“Most of the places I go, they have this background on me,” Jennings said. “They kind of assume I’m going to be one thing.”

Obviously, his father was an influence, but anyone who automatically equates him with his father’s choice of genre simply hasn’t been paying attention.
