The Rose Music Center at The Heights has been rocking with big-name acts in front of large crowds since it opened last month, but some Huber Heights residents are saying they have heard enough.

In response to numerous complaints, the city plans to install removable fabric drapes at the music center to help reduce noise to nearby homes.

… The center opens in the spring and construction is mostly wrapped up. City Manager Rob Schommer says there’s a lot more to managing things like the box office and concession stands than officials originally realized. He’s talking about hiring the company that manages the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Schommer says the contract would be about $65,000, which is a lot less than if the city paid staff directly.

Schommer says he’s been looking for corporate sponsorship to pull in more money, too. But there hasn’t been an obvious match.
