There are many homeless in Dayton and the surrounding communities, and Helping the Homeless Dayton, headed up by Dayton resident, Trena Elam, is doing all they can to provide some of the basic needs for those stuck outdoors. Yes, the weather is warming up, but there are still many families and singles who need food, clothing, and other basic necessities. Now, Helping the Homeless wants to team up with local bands and musicians to continue meeting those needs!

In February this year, Helping the Homeless had a wonderful benefit to raise warm clothes donations, and now, they want to spread that action around! Any area bands that would love to help, can do so by simply:

1.)  Adding a note to your “event post” and/or flyer regarding bringing an item or two from our “Items Needed List”, to your next show.
2.) After you post, private message Trena Elam at Helping the Homeless Dayton on Facebook, and she will personally be at your show to say THANK YOU! and pick up donated items.

Any amount helps so much!
“Items Needed” list:
1) T-Shirts
2) underwear
3) sandals, tennis shoes or flip flops
4) Shorts
5) bandannas / hand towels
6) gator aid / water
7) ready to eat foods
8) toiletries
9) back packs / duffle bags
9) light blankets and/or unfitted sheets
10) Spring Jackets
