Let’s face it! The person behind the sound board can make or break your album, not to mention your bank, so getting to know the engineer and/or producer you’re going to work with, in advance, is crucial to coming away with a great recording!
Before my band went to Popside Recording earlier this year, I had already checked out Micah Carli’s recordings, talked to friends, and learned that he’d been around the world and had earned a lot of experience touring with the band Hawthorne Heights.
As I began to learn more about his experiences in music though, it became clear to me that it wasn’t just his experience with the band that makes him one of the hottest engineers to record with right now.

Feeling “lucky” is often an elusive quality, but Boston-based Alt-rockers, Blue Moon Harem, have nailed that singular emotion with their new single, “Lucky,” off their forthcoming third album, ‘Deep Into Blue.’
“Lucky” is a fresh, upbeat, and hooky piece that elicits a sense of wonder, lightness, and warmth. The music rolls through your body, tugs at the heart, and says “Come! Last Saturday evening, The Dayton Underground Series kicked off to a packed house at WO Wrights Grill & Pub! Fans started arriving about an hour before the show, ready to hear some killer music, and that is exactly what they got!
More than 170 people came out to hear Able Danger, Left in the Dark, and our Best of Dayton Underground 2015 “Best Rock” winners, Crosley Court, and it was a fantastic evening all around! This was the perfect way to celebrate Music Connection Dayton‘s unofficial 3rd anniversary and the 1 year anniversary of W937 Dayton Radio, and we can’t even tell you how hard it was to wait to share this amazing music with you!
